The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party backed by Nyesom Wike has declared the party’s internal crisis over and directed preparations for nationwide primaries.
Speaking at the party’s 108th NEC meeting in Abuja, factional chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed said the PDP is now focused on strategy and electoral readiness ahead of 2027.
Wike called for reconciliation with defectors, while Mao Ohuabunwa urged unity and discipline.
However, a rival faction led by Tanimu Turaki rejected the meeting, describing it as illegitimate, highlighting ongoing divisions within the party.
