The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has asked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to provide evidence of its application to use Eagle Square.
Wike dismissed claims that the party was denied access, stating that no formal request was submitted to his office or relevant authorities.
He stressed that Eagle Square is open to all groups that follow due process, noting that previous events by major parties were approved after proper application and payment.
The ADC had earlier alleged it was blocked from using the venue for its national convention, forcing a change of location.
Wike also clarified that the Kugbo Bus Terminal did not collapse, explaining that only parts of the roof were damaged by strong winds and repairs are ongoing.
He added that key road and streetlight projects in Abuja are on track for completion by mid to late May.
