VFS Global is expanding its services in Nigeria to ease the growing pressure on visa applications. More Nigerians are travelling in organised groups, leading to increased demand for faster and simpler processing. The company’s Sub-Saharan Africa Chief Operating Officer, Siddharth Mehra, said the goal is to help travellers begin their journey smoothly with secure and technology–driven systems. He added that the company wants to offer a visa experience that is accessible and reliable.
This development comes as many applicants outside Lagos and Abuja seek easier submission options. To address this, VFS Global has rolled out mobile submission services and opened new Premium Application Centres across the country. The mobile option enables applicants to complete biometrics and paperwork at their preferred location. Many travellers use this service from their homes, offices, and team camps.
Additionally, new centres have opened in Enugu, Kano, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt. These facilities allow applicants, especially UK visa applicants, to submit documents without long trips to major cities. The centres offer a comfortable environment with helpful services like document scanning, upload assistance, courier passport delivery, and real–time information updates.
They also allow appointments during extended hours, including evenings and weekends. VFS Global has also introduced support for applicants needing guidance with form completion. Several organisations have booked group applications using these combined services. The company manages visa processing for 69 governments and operates over 3,900 centres globally. Since 2001, it has processed more than 514 million transactions efficiently.
