The Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board (UVTAB) is studying the Nigeria TVET model through a visit to the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
Delegation leader Albert Akovuku said the visit aims to strengthen Uganda’s technical education system through knowledge exchange and collaboration.
He noted that Nigeria TVET model has contributed significantly to economic resilience, making it a valuable reference for Uganda’s reforms under Vision 2040.
NABTEB Registrar, Dr Aminu Muhammed, said the engagement would focus on assessment systems, certification frameworks, and digital innovations in technical education.
The Nigerian government also emphasised the importance of regional partnerships in addressing unemployment and equipping young people with practical, industry-relevant skills.
