Sara was brought up by her granny in Benin state of Nigeria, due to the financial instability her parents had during the time of her birth. She was brought up with a lot of love, caring and affection. This made her to be full of love, she expresses love both to the young and old which made everyone to be fond of her. Sara White was not only loveable, but she was an outstanding student in school.
Sara come clean the kitchen…her mom said.
Her parents had visited Benin and wanted her to come stay with them since they were doing well financially compared to when she was born.
Mama, Sara will be joining us in Abuja after her third term examination…, said Mrs. white.
Why? She is doing well here in Benin!! Why the sudden change? Mama asked.
Myself and my husband have decided that Sara should come and write her West Africa examination certificate (WAEC) in Abuja … replied Mrs. white. After much argument, mama finally agreed with Sara to leave for Abuja after her examination.
Sara come clean the kitchen…. Her mom said.
Coming…she replied
Meanwhile, Sara’s parents are the busy type who do not have time for their children. From one business to the other. This makes her bored, with no one to express her loveable self to, and no one to receive her beautiful smiles at home.
In the far end of the estate, lives Jerry a very intelligent boy who happens to be Sara’s class mate in her new school. Jerry was brought up by his insecure dad (Mr. Martin) who believes that when a child receives too much attention, they become spoiled. For this reason, Mr. Martin hired a daily minder who took care of Jerry right from when he was a little boy. He is the kind of boy who needs all the love in the world, but no one to express love to him.
Jerry was born, due to the affairs his father had with an 18-year-old girl, who he met at a night club. Joy (Jerry’s mom) died when she was having Jerry. After the death of Joy, her family (a Calabar family) asked him to marry Joy’s corpse. All the procedures made Mr. Martin spend a whole lot on money both on the marriage and the burial ceremony as well. This makes Mr. Martin dislike Jerry, because his birth brought a lot of misfortune to him.
Sara gets along with everyone in her new school because of her friendly smile and bright spirit. Sara White was great in all subjects, likewise Jerry Martin too. Ss 3b which was Sara and Jerry’s class was one of the outstanding classes in precious international schools. When the first term results were out, Sara scored higher than Jerry with three marks in literature. This made everyone to be amazed at the level of her intelligence because Jerry has always scored the highest right from junior school.
Jerry decided to have a conversation with the new girl who took his place in the class.
Hello…he said
Hi…with a beautiful smile, she replied. Their friendship grew stronger immediately after the first conversation. Then, Jerry realizes how sweet of a girl she is, she was full of love, from her smiley face to her beautiful heart and her sharing spirit. He was amazed by all her doings. No day passes by without them having a great conversation together. Everyone in the school knew about their friendship, and the most amazing thing of all is that he began to mingle with is classmates, having conversations with them.
The usual Jerry they all knew didn’t talk to anyone in school except the teachers, and that’s usually when he wanted to ask questions. Everyone was amazed and wanted to know the kind of charm Sara used in getting Jerry’s heart. Gradually, Jerry developed the habit of giving, which was very difficult for him to do before he met Sara.
His father was surprised at his new character and how he expresses love to everyone in the compound at home. Mr. Martin had to learn from his son, the right way to love which was also giving out to people.
Truly, if you associate with the right people, your attitude towards life will be different… thought Mr. Martin. My son was a child who needed love but no one was willing to express love towards him just hostility. He thought bitterly and said I failed as a father…
