The Kwara Kiddies YEG League has announced that the grand finale of its 2025 season will take place on Sunday, December 14. The event will be hosted at the Kwara Football Academy pitch in Ilorin, Kwara State. Fans and sports enthusiasts can look forward to an exciting conclusion to the competitive grassroots tournament.Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who also serves as the league’s chairman, will lead the celebrations. He is expected to welcome numerous sports stakeholders to recognize the achievements of young players this season. Since signing a four-year sponsorship deal in June 2024, Awoniyi has significantly boosted the league’s visibility and impact.
Organized by the Youth Elite Group in Ilorin, the Kwara Kiddies League began in 2022 as an under-12 tournament for state academies. Season IV has provided children with opportunities to enhance their skills, foster teamwork, and build discipline through well-structured matches. The league continues to grow as a premier platform for youth football development in Kwara.Notable guests expected at the finale include Idris Musa, Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, and Mallam Bolakale Mogaji, Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission. Through Awoniyi’s support, the league is now listed on Wyscout, a leading global scouting and video analysis platform, offering young players unmatched exposure.According to Organizing Committee Chairman Olaide Ahli, the Kwara Kiddies League has become the state’s most organized grassroots football program. “The Grand Finale celebrates the talent, dreams, and dedication of our young athletes,” he said.
