Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has denied claims that she and her family stole $40,000 from her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, describing the allegations as false and malicious.
Speaking during a live social media broadcast on Monday, the 25-year-old said Nwoko was behind an arrest warrantissued against her, her mother Rita Daniels, her brother Sammy West, and some associates.
Daniels questioned the claim, insisting Nwoko does not keep large sums of cash at home. “Ned doesn’t even keep money at home, so where did the $40,000 come from?” she asked.
The video, which has since gone viral, comes amid an ongoing custody dispute over their two sons. While police have reportedly made arrests linked to the case, neither Nwoko nor security agencies have issued an official statement.
During the live session, Daniels appeared with family members summoned by the police. One relative, identified as Speedy, denied being present on the day of the alleged theft and demanded CCTV evidence. Tension rose when Sammy was reportedly detained again during the broadcast, as Daniels urged calm.
The actress also referenced recent controversies, including accusations of substance abuse. She said she took a drug test in the UK on January 5, 2026, which returned negative. Nwoko reportedly dismissed the result, calling it evidence of “temporary abstinence.”
The dispute adds to months of public allegations and counter-allegations between the estranged couple, with Daniels maintaining that the actions against her are aimed at discrediting her during the separation.
