Victor Osimhen’s agent, George Gardi, has shut down growing transfer speculation by confirming that the Nigerian striker is fully committed to Galatasaray despite interest from top European clubs. The Super Eagles forward spent the 2024/25 season on loan at the Turkish giants before joining permanently this summer.
Reports recently linked Osimhen with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but Gardi told Sky Sports Germany that the 26-year-old is not planning to leave Istanbul anytime soon.
“Victor signed for a project, not just one season,” Gardi said. “He’s happy in Istanbul, he earns well, the fans love him, the team is competitive in the Champions League, and he’s performing at a high level. Why change?”
Osimhen played a crucial role in Galatasaray’s domestic double last season. This campaign, he has scored nine goals in 12 matches, including an impressive six goals in three Champions League games.
However, the Nigerian forward is currently sidelined with a muscle strain and internal bleeding, an injury he suffered during the Super Eagles’ 4-3 penalty shootout defeat to DR Congo in the 2026 World Cup play-off final. Galatasaray confirmed that an MRI at Acıbadem International Hospital showed muscle strain and bleeding a common soft-tissue injury caused by overstretching.
Osimhen was substituted at half time in the match, and his absence visibly affected Nigeria’s attacking presence for the remainder of the game.
