OPay has earned a major milestone in its corporate social responsibility journey, securing the SERAS 2025 Award for Social Impact and Human Capacity Development. The honour was presented at the 19th edition of the prestigious event in Lagos. Which celebrates organisations that create measurable and meaningful community impact across Africa.
At the ceremony, OPay’s CSR Manager, Itoro Udo, accepted the award with gratitude and highlighted the beneficiaries who inspire the company’s efforts. He noted that the N1.2bn 10-Year Scholarship Programme continues to open doors for students seeking quality education. Women gaining new skills through OPay’s empowerment initiatives and primary school pupils receiving essential learning materials were also recognised as central to the company’s social mission.
The company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Elizabeth Wang, further stressed OPay’s commitment to deepening its community footprint. She explained that genuine progress thrives when people have access to tools and opportunities that help them grow. According to her, the award reinforces the power of purposeful innovation and responsible corporate citizenship.
