Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has said the All Progressives Congress will continue its mobilisation efforts across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Okpebholo made the statement during APC mobilisation activities in Ologbo Ward 9 and 10 in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, where he urged party members to remain united and support the party’s candidates.
At the event, Okpebholo presented the party’s candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly to party supporters.
State APC Chairman Jarrett Tenebe said the party was targeting 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in Edo in the next general election. He said mobilisation had commenced across all 18 local government areas.
The Ikpoba-Okha APC Chairman, Sunny Ogbewe, also said the local government, which he described as having a large number of registered voters, would work towards delivering strong support for the party.
The governor thanked residents and party supporters for their participation and said his administration would continue to focus on the development of the state.
The mobilisation exercise forms part of the APC’s ongoing preparations for the 2027 elections.
