The President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Habu Gumel, has praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening sports development in Nigeria.
Gumel said timely funding and strategic appointments including Shehu Dikko as NSC Chairman and Bukola Olopade as Director-General have transformed sports administration.
According to him, Nigeria has recorded 373 international medals, attracted ₦50 billion in private investment, and created over 140,000 jobs within a short period.
He expressed confidence that continued reforms would further position sports as a key contributor to Nigeria’s economy.
