NEM Insurance Plc has launched the third edition of its She Means Business competition, reinforcing its commitment to supporting female entrepreneurs across Nigeria. The initiative highlights the company’s dedication to strengthening women-led businesses and promoting inclusive economic growth nationwide.
The competition commenced on February 16, 2026, and will close on February 28, 2026. Interested participants are encouraged to submit their entries before the deadline. Through this programme, the insurer continues to champion entrepreneurship while advancing financial inclusion among women at the grassroots level.
In this edition, three exceptional female entrepreneurs will each receive a ₦250,000 cash grant to expand their operations. The financial support is designed to help beneficiaries scale sustainably and improve business capacity. By providing direct funding, the company aims to serve as a catalyst for long-term growth and stability.
Speaking on the initiative, the General Manager of Corporate Services, Mrs Mojisola Teluwo, emphasised that the organisation’s mission extends beyond delivering insurance products. She noted that the NEM insurance company actively invests in community development and economic empowerment. According to her, the competition represents a practical expression of that broader commitment.
To participate, applicants must create a one-minute video explaining specific strategies to accelerate their business growth. They are required to share the video on social media platforms, encouraging creativity and digital engagement. Industry observers believe programmes like this continue to enhance the reputation of the insurance sector while supporting Nigeria’s growing SME ecosystem.
