In a significant move to enhance the electricity supply in Ondo State, Lincs Power Energy Solutions has donated a 5-megawatt power project to Ondo town. Mr. Olumbe Akinkugbe, a former Senior Special Assistant to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on ICT, facilitated the initiative.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, Project Manager Mr. Otinniyi Micheal revealed plans to upgrade the project’s capacity to 20 megawatts. This expansion aims to provide stable electricity to Ondo State and its surrounding areas.
Micheal praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his support and expressed confidence in the project’s swift completion. Governor Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Special Adviser on Energy, Mr. Alabi Johnson, commended Akinkugbe for his dedication and urged the community to back the initiative.
With the potential to transform the region’s power supply, this project marks a major step toward energy stability in Ondo State.
