JMG Limited, a leading provider of electro-mechanical solutions in Nigeria. Has donated a 10-kilowatt solar power system to the Ketu Primary Healthcare Centre in the Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State. The system, unveiled on Wednesday, aims to provide the health centre with 24-hour electricity. Ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services for the community.
Speaking at the event, Rabi Jammal, Group General Manager of JMG Limited, emphasized that the donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility. Prioritizing both the health of Nigerians and environmental sustainability. He stated, “Reliable power is a right, not a privilege. It is essential to life and healthcare. This project demonstrates our commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future, while also powering communities.”
The Chairman of the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Adetola Abubakar, explained that the solar system would significantly improve the hospital’s capacity to deliver quality healthcare. She added, “With this donation, there will be no more power outages during critical procedures. Including C-sections, and medical equipment will function efficiently, ensuring world-class medical services for our residents.”
The initiative also received commendation from the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab. Who highlighted the project’s alignment with the state’s vision of transitioning to sustainable energy solutions. Dr. Wahab encouraged private organizations to partner with the government in promoting accessible, reliable services for citizens.
Further affirming the project’s impact, Francis Meshioye, Executive Director of JMG and President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, noted that a healthier society drives productivity, motivating the company’s donation. Dr. Dayo Olajide, Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Health District II, described the solar power system as a game-changer. For both healthcare workers and patients, ensuring consistent electricity and enhanced medical services.
