Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has described the return of former PDP governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a big gain for the ruling party.
Obasa, who hosted Jandor at his Ikeja residence, welcomed him warmly and assured full reintegration into the party. He praised Jandor’s courage and conviction, noting that the APC remains the platform that reflects the aspirations of Lagosians.
Jandor, in his remarks, pledged loyalty to the APC and commended President Bola Tinubu’s tax reforms, calling them bold and people-focused.
Both leaders vowed to work together to strengthen the APC and improve governance in Lagos State.
Jandor had earlier quit the PDP, citing indiscipline and anti-party activities. However, his defection has drawn criticism from PDP leaders, with the party’s deputy chairman in Lagos, Tai Benedict, alleging that Jandor was planted to weaken the opposition.
