The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that any Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre that cannot be monitored remotely will be barred from participating in the 2026 UTME registration. The policy, tagged “No Vision, No Registration, No UTME,” aims to curb registration infractions and uphold the integrity of the examination.
Registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede said all participating centres will be monitored live from JAMB National Headquarters in Abuja. Centres must use approved Microsoft or Digitech live cameras and upgrade to HIKVision wired CCTV systemswith at least 16 channels to cover all areas, including the examination hall, holding room, walkways, server room, and entrances/exits.
Failure to comply may result in invalidated registrations, withheld payments, sanctions, or prosecution. Centres are responsible for costs related to CCTV reconfiguration. Oloyede emphasized that past offenders have been delisted and are facing prosecution.
Registration for the 2026 UTME officially begins today.
