Huawei has partnered with Tetracore Energy Group and Inspirive Technologies to build a $400m data centre. The project will be located at the Tetracore Energy Park in Ogun State and introduces an innovative energy-to-digital model to tackle power instability challenges.
The planned facility will deliver 20MW capacity to support Nigeria’s expanding digital ecosystem. It will meet global Tier III standards, ensuring high reliability and operational resilience for critical users. As a result, financial institutions, government agencies, and cloud providers will benefit from improved infrastructure.
With an estimated delivery timeline of 10 to 12 months, the project is progressing rapidly. Once completed, it will strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global digital economy. Additionally, it will address the rising demand for secure and scalable data solutions.
Tetracore will provide dedicated energy through its 100MW Independent Power Plant. Meanwhile, Huawei will deliver advanced technology and hardware expertise for efficient operations. Inspirive Technologies will contribute local technical knowledge to support seamless execution.
According to CEO Olakunle Williams, reliable energy remains essential for digital transformation. He noted that integrating energy and technology drives sustainable economic growth. Furthermore, the project reflects Tetracore’s ability to execute complex infrastructure developments.
The facility is designed to support artificial intelligence workloads and advanced analytics. It will reduce dependence on offshore hosting while improving national data security. Moreover, it enhances low-latency processing for high-performance computing needs.
By operating within a dedicated energy park, the project bypasses national grid limitations. This ensures stable and uninterrupted power for critical digital infrastructure. Ultimately, the data centre will support key sectors and accelerate Nigeria’s technological advancement.
