Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has appealed to Nigerians to support 32 children with special needs who were displaced after the eviction of their therapy centre in Yaba, Lagos.
The children, many living with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and dyslexia, were reportedly forced out of the Magnificient Therapy Services facility following a court-ordered eviction tied to a tenancy dispute.
Akindele said she was heartbroken after seeing videos of the children and their belongings outside the building and urged Nigerians to show compassion and support.
The therapy centre had reportedly operated for 16 years, serving vulnerable children and providing specialised care for families struggling to access support services.
The actress stressed that no child deserves to be abandoned or left without care, adding that she had personally contributed to assist the affected children.
