The Federal Government of Nigeria has partnered with Nestlé Nigeria Plc to strengthen dairy production and improve farmers’ skills.
The agreement includes the establishment of a dairy training centre to provide hands-on education in ranch management, breeding, and animal health.
Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, said the initiative would address skill gaps and boost productivity in Nigeria’s livestock sector.
Nestlé disclosed that it has already invested over N1.8 billion in dairy development, training thousands of farmers and improving milk production.
The partnership is expected to enhance food security and attract investment into the agricultural sector.
