Residents have shared their experiences following a building collapse in the Aguda, Ogba area of Lagos on March 9, 2026.
According to eyewitnesses, the building, which reportedly housed a school, showed signs of structural failure while students were still inside.
Residents said the students were quickly evacuated from the structure before it eventually collapsed. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic but expressed relief that no lives were lost.
They noted that the swift evacuation ensured that students and other occupants were safely moved out of the building before the structure came down.
