Afrobeats star Davido has named Asake, Rema, and Omah Lay as the male artistes he believes have the potential to become among the greatest in Nigerian music.
He made the remark during a Twitch livestream with comedian Carter Efe, praising the trio for their consistency and growing global influence. Davido also acknowledged female stars like Tems and Ayra Starr, but clarified his comment focused on male artistes.
According to him, the international success of Asake, Rema, and Omah Lay shows they are defining the next era of Afrobeats as the genre continues its global rise.
