The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced five terrorism convicts to prison terms of up to 20 years.
Justice M. O. Olajuwon jailed one convict for 20 years over links to Boko Haram, while others received 10-year sentences for offences including financing and logistical support.
Another suspect who pleaded not guilty was remanded in custody as the Federal Government launched a fresh phase of mass trials involving about 500 suspects.
Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi said the trials aim to fast-track terrorism cases, with proceedings continuing this week.
