Residents reported the first explosion near the Eid praying ground, damaging several buildings. The second blast happened close to Solid Worth Hotel, roughly five minutes from the initial site. Authorities discovered an undetonated explosive device at the second location, increasing security concerns.
Offa Local Government confirmed awareness of the explosions and online reports circulating about them. Chief Press Secretary Abiola Azeez Babatunde stated the council cordoned affected areas for investigation. Local Government Chairman Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun visited the scene to assess damages firsthand.
He urged residents to stay calm, vigilant, and rely on verified official information only. A security source revealed that missile components, not bombs, struck buildings in Offa. The source linked the debris to US-led airstrikes in collaboration with Nigerian forces in Sokoto.
