The chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged substantial bonuses to Nigeria’s Super Eagles after their 2-0 AFCON quarter-final win over Algeria.
In a statement on X, Rabiu congratulated the team and announced incentives: $500,000 for a semi-final win plus $50,000 per goal, and $1,000,000 for winning the final with $100,000 per goal.
Nigeria booked their semi-final spot after goals from Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams, extending their perfect record in the tournament to five wins from five matches with 14 goals scored.
The Super Eagles will face host nation Morocco in the semi-final on Wednesday, January 14, 9pm, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. Nigeria is aiming for a fourth AFCON title, having previously won in 1980, 1994, and 2013.
