The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, has urged the 2025 Batch C Corps Members to diligently utilize the skills acquired during the recently concluded in-camp Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training. She commended their commitment, emphasizing that skill acquisition is a dependable pathway to financial independence.
Mrs. Salmwang encouraged the Corps Members to continuously improve their skills, manage their financial rewards wisely, and apply their newly acquired expertise for personal and national benefit. She also extended sincere appreciation to all sponsors for their cash, gifts, and technical support, which significantly enhanced the Inter-Platoon SAED Competition.

The barbing contest, sponsored by Parallex Bank, saw the top three winners awarded cash prizes of ₦100,000, ₦70,000, and ₦50,000. Workonnect sponsored the fashion design category, where the winner, Platoon 2, clinched an electric sewing machine. Classic Makeover sponsored the models for the make-up segment, providing a professional platform for the contestants.

A major highlight of the closing ceremony was the SAED exhibition, which featured a wide variety of entrepreneurial skills. These included fashion designing, cake baking and decoration, bead-making, shoe and bag making, cosmetology, fish farming, crochet making, waste-to-wealth crafts, make-up/gele tying, and agro-allied ventures.
It was an exhilarating experience for the corpers as they got the opportunity to enjoy raffle draws, discounted CV rewrite opportunities and access to career coaches
