The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that 1,714 intending pilgrims from Kwara State will participate in the 2026 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Secretary of the board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, said preparations are at an advanced stage, with visas, accommodation, and travel materials already secured.
According to him, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has fixed May 3 for the inaugural flight, while Kwara pilgrims will be airlifted in three batches on May 6, 7, and 9 via Max Air.
He also announced enlightenment programmes on April 19 and 26 to guide pilgrims on Hajj rites and urged attendance.
The approved fare is ₦7.75m, with refunds available for those who previously paid ₦8.5m, subject to verification.
