President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Segun Aina as the new Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, succeeding Ishaq Oloyede whose tenure expires on July 31, 2026.
The appointment was announced in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Aina, a professor of Computer Engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University, was described as an expert in digital infrastructure, examination systems and institutional reforms.
According to the Presidency, he holds degrees from University of Kent and Loughborough University, and has over 15 years of experience advising governments on digital transition and system reforms.
The Presidency added that Aina had previously consulted for examination bodies including National Examinations Council and National Business and Technical Examinations Board.
Tinubu expressed confidence that Aina would build on the achievements recorded under Oloyede’s administration.
