TD Africa, one of West Africa’s strongest technology distributors, has entered into a major partnership with Schneider Electric. To drive the development of advanced, AI-enabled data centres across Nigeria. Both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening the nation’s digital backbone, boosting resilience. Also enabling sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive global technology landscape.
The announcement came during the Schneider Electric Innovation Day Nigeria 2025. Held in celebration of Schneider Electric’s 25 years of operations in the country. The event gathered over 450 key industry players, including IT experts, electrical and automation engineers, architects, end users, and top government officials. With the theme “Unlocking Nigeria’s Energy Future: Policy, Innovation, and Investment,” the platform served as a strategic moment to reiterate the need for strong digital infrastructure to power Nigeria’s next stage of technological advancement.
Chairman of the Zinox Group, Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, signed on behalf of TD Africa. Describing the agreement as a crucial milestone in Nigeria’s digital journey. He explained that investing in modern, AI-driven and sustainable data centres is essential not just for technological advancement. But also for enabling Nigerian businesses to stay competitive in the coming decade. He added that the collaboration marks a significant commitment to shaping a smarter and more eco-friendly digital economy.
The partnership aims to combine TD Africa’s extensive distribution network and industry know-how with Schneider Electric’s global expertise in automation and intelligent energy systems. As a result, the upcoming data centres will be scalable, energy-efficient, secure, and compliant with international sustainability benchmarks.
The event also featured contributions from top Schneider Electric executives. Including Walid Sheta, Zone President for the Middle East and Africa, and Canninah Dladla, Cluster President.
