TAJBank Limited has received an A1 rating from Agusto & Co and DataPro Limited in credit risk and operational resilience assessments.
The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Hamid Joda, disclosed the development in a statement issued in Abuja.
According to Joda, the rating represents an upgrade from the Bbb+ score previously assigned by Agusto & Co two years ago. He attributed the improvement to the bank’s strong balance sheet and robust earnings performance in the 2025 financial year.
“In spite of the prevailing economic whirlwinds in the country, TAJBank leveraged its operational efficiency and customer-focused services,” Joda said.
He added that the improved rating reflects the bank’s emphasis on risk management, operational controls and technology-driven services.
The bank’s Executive Director, Sherif Idi, described the rating as a reaffirmation of management’s commitment to best practice standards, human capital development and branch network expansion.
He said the bank would continue positioning itself as a leading institution within Nigeria’s non-interest banking subsector.
