The Osun APC Appeal Committee has declared its readiness to review complaints from the 2025 delegate congress. The committee assured party members that it will address issues arising from the exercise.
The 1,660 delegates who will choose the APC governorship candidate emerged on Tuesday. They were elected across all 332 wards during the congress held statewide.
Announcing the congress results in Osogbo, Committee Chairman Shehu Umaru Dange praised members for maintaining peace. He noted that the process reflected discipline and unity within the party.
In a statement, the Osun APC Director of Media, Kola Olabisi, confirmed the committee’s mandate. He said the five-man Appeal Committee, led by Hon. Kani Abubakar, had commenced its sitting in Osogbo. He also stressed that the panel would examine petitions from aggrieved members.
During the sitting, Abubakar explained the mission of the committee. He said they arrived in Osun on Monday to oversee the congress process. He also stated that their work complies with national laws and party guidelines.
According to him, the committee will receive petitions from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. He encouraged members with complaints to appear before the panel. He also added that no petition had been received since the sitting began.
The chairman assured members that the committee remains committed to fairness. He said the panel will remain at its duty post until the submission deadline. He also urged members to participate and express any concerns.
