Former Oyo State Governor and Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has arrived in Ibadan ahead of his official installation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Ladoja, who is currently at his family house in Isale-Osi, Ibadan South East LGA, is expected to move to his private residence in Bodija, Ibadan North, later today.
His media aide, Adeola Oloko, confirmed his arrival, stating:
“The 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Ladoja, is in town right now. He is at Isale-Osi. From here, we are moving to his house at Bodija.”
The Olubadan-in-Council had on April 4, 2025, unanimously approved Ladoja as the next Olubadan following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan.
His confirmation now awaits Governor Seyi Makinde’s ratification and the formal presentation of the staff of office.
