Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck recently sparked buzz online after suggesting that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has the vocals to succeed in music.
“I wish say Wike dey do music. I hear something in his vocals. I’m not joking,” he said.
Known for his bold statements and unique sound, Odumodublvck’s comment has drawn attention to Wike’s long-standing relationship with live music. During his time as Governor of Rivers State (2015–2023), Wike regularly hosted events with live bands, a tradition he has continued in Abuja as FCT Minister.
In fact, Wike’s band has gone viral multiple times for catchy tunes like “As E Dey Sweet Us”, “Agreement Is Agreement”, and “Biggie Man”, which blend political slogans with upbeat rhythms.
Just last month, Wike even announced a pay raise for the band during a road commissioning event in Abuja, further showing his commitment to music even in politics.

Odumodublvck (real name Tochukwu Ojogwu) is an Abuja-born rapper best known for his hits “Picanto” and “Declan Rice.” His praise is no small compliment, especially as he’s earned co-signs from big names like Wizkid and Davido.
