Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has defended Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s recent call for wealthy members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) to contribute ₦1 billion each towards church projects.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on August 11, 2025, the rapper stated:
“If I had a billion to contribute to RCCG, I will do it and even more… It is not by force to serve the Lord. As for me and my household, we will continue to support the work of Christ shamelessly.”
Odumodublvck also criticised those mocking church donations, noting that pastors often support struggling members beyond the Sunday service.
His stance sparked mixed reactions online. Some praised his commitment, while others argued that such funds would be better used to feed the poor and help the homeless. Others questioned whether large donations were truly about faith or simply public showmanship.
