Bamiduro is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria with extensive professional experience. He earned the promotion internally after serving as Group Financial Controller since 2021. During this period, he strengthened financial governance and improved operational efficiency across the Group.
Notably, he led the team that secured OICL’s first-ever credit rating by Agusto & Co. In addition, he chaired the rollout of a cost-saving enterprise resource planning system. He also established a stronger internal financial control framework for the Group.
OICL Chairman, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, praised Bamiduro’s strategic leadership and deep institutional knowledge. According to him, Bamiduro’s results-driven approach inspired strong Board confidence in his elevation.
Before joining OICL, Bamiduro built over twenty years of experience within the energy industry. Importantly, he spent fifteen years at Transocean, a global offshore drilling leader. There, he became Finance Manager for Nigeria and Africa Remote Operations.
He also made history as the first African with full financial oversight of the region. His expertise covers treasury management, taxation, financial control, and complex integrations. Beyond executive duties, Bamiduro serves as a Non-Executive Director within Odu’a Investment Company Limited subsidiaries.
These include Lagos Airport Hotel Limited and other strategic business units. Group Managing Director Abdulrahman Yinusa described the appointment as merit-driven and timely. He emphasized Bamiduro’s role in strengthening the Group’s long-term strategic plan.
In his new role, Bamiduro joins the Board and oversees group-wide financial strategy. Overall, the appointment reinforces OICL’s commitment to sustainable growth and shareholder value.
