The Nigerian athletes selected for 2026 include Collins Arogunjo, Uar Bernard, Michael Daramola, Chibuike Madu, and Anjola Oketola.
They join athletes from Australia, Germany, Japan, Kenya, Algeria, and the United Kingdom.
NFL Director Patrick Long welcomed the new class and highlighted the program’s global growth impact.
Starting January 2026, athletes will participate in a 10-week intensive program in Fort Myers, Florida.
Training combines on-field drills with classroom instruction to enhance performance and football knowledge.
Participants will then showcase skills to NFL scouts for potential free agent signings or draft selection. Each team can offer one international roster exemption during the offseason, enabling competition at the highest level.
The 2026 class reflects the NFL’s commitment to expanding the sport internationally.
Nigeria’s representation underscores the country’s growing influence in professional American football. With strong preparation and guidance, these athletes aim to succeed in the 2026 NFL season. The IPP program strengthens global football talent pipelines and promotes international athletic development.
