Neymar Jr has expressed disappointment after being left out of the latest Brazil national football team squad, admitting he feels “upset and sad” over the decision.
The Santos FC forward, who is working his way back to full fitness, shared an emotional message reaffirming his determination to return stronger.
“I’m upset, sad, about not being called up. But the focus remains day after day, training after training, game after game. We’re going to achieve our goal,” Neymar said in a post shared by Fabrizio Romano.
The former FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star added that he still believes in making a future call-up, insisting that “the dream lives on.”
Neymar’s omission is largely linked to his recent injury struggles and extended recovery period, which have limited his game time.
Brazil’s coaching staff are understood to have selected players who are currently fully fit and in consistent form, as the team continues preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
