The Group Managing Director of Navy Holdings Limited (NHL), Rear Adm. Hamza Ibrahim, has unveiled plans to restructure the company’s subsidiaries to improve efficiency, transparency, and investment returns.
Speaking in Suleja, Ibrahim said the Nigerian Navy’s investment holding company, which oversees 11 subsidiaries nationwide, is focused on strengthening management structures and boosting productivity. He revealed that NHL has established a dedicated land administration department and is digitising operations to improve accountability and eliminate unofficial payment channels.
Ibrahim also disclosed plans to support Nigeria’s blue economy through marine and fishery projects, including the proposed Ibom Fish City initiative. He noted that efforts are ongoing to resolve inherited disputes with contractors through dialogue.
According to him, unlocking the full potential of subsidiaries, particularly the Naval Dockyard, could generate between 1,000 and 2,000 jobs. Beyond business operations, he highlighted his commitment to community development through education, skills acquisition, and youth mentorship programmes in Suleja and beyond.
