Nigerian singer Peter Okoye (Mr P) has dismissed criticism over his decision to shift his birthday celebration from November 18 to November 30.
Reacting on social media, he described the backlash as unnecessary, noting it was a personal choice. He also compared the reaction to debates over the date of Jesus Christ’s birth.
Mr P added that the attention given to the issue was excessive compared to more pressing national concerns.
