Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, reaffirmed his dedication to benefiting state residents. On Friday, he visited the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Alao, in Surulere LGA. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between the government and local communities.
In a statement by Media Adviser Sulaimon Olarenwaju, Makinde urged Ogbomoso residents to cooperate. “We remain committed to delivering dividends of democracy across Oyo State,” he said. He promised inner road rehabilitation in five local government areas would begin soon.
The governor stressed inclusive development, ensuring no zone is left behind. He expressed confidence that future leaders would continue and surpass current achievements. Oba Francis Alao commended Makinde’s administration and pledged continued local support.
The event included officials like Commissioner Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola and Assistant Bayo Lawal. Other attendees were Akinwole Akinwale, Saka Balogun, and state PDP members. Traditional rulers, including Onpetu of Ijeru, Oba Sunday Oyediran, attended the ceremony.
Aresapa of Iresapa, Oba Moses Ajiboye, also joined, strengthening community-government ties. The meeting emphasized collaboration and promised sustainable development in Oyo State.
