Launched in July 2025, Enugu Air is owned by the Enugu State Government. It began operations with three Embraer 170 aircraft, each seating 76 passengers. Initially, it partnered with XEJET, which provides regulatory approvals and flight operations support.
Under this arrangement, XEJET operates scheduled domestic flights while Enugu Air completes its Air Operator Certificate. Ticket bookings are handled through XEJET, ensuring seamless travel for passengers across destinations. The airline aims to strengthen local aviation development and stimulate economic activity in the region.
