Retail prices of cooking gas have continued to decline across Nigeria following improved supply from local production and increased imports, offering relief to households battling high living costs.
Industry figures show LPG now sells between ₦1,100 and ₦1,550 per kilogramme in most parts of the country, depending on location, while a 12.5kg cylinder costs between ₦13,750 and ₦20,625 to refill.
Marketers attributed the price drop to improved product availability, increased competition and reduced panic buying, although transportation costs continue to keep prices higher in some northern communities.
