On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the atmosphere was filled with gratitude and celebration as a new wholesale store officially opened its doors in Gaa Akanbi area, Ilorin.
Representing MetroTimes News, we were present to witness the event, which began with an opening prayer and short exhortation by Pastor Okelola, pastor in charge of Kwara Province 6 of the redeemed Christian church of God.
Mrs. Esho, the store’s founder, set the tone with a heartfelt worship song, “Thank You Jesus,” expressing deep gratitude for God’s mercy. She shared her journey, revealing that the project began as early as 2024. Despite facing setbacks, including discouragement while searching for land, she never gave up.

By April 2025, construction had commenced, powered by faith and determination.During her speech, Mrs. Esho acknowledged her husband’s unwavering support and offered prayers for him and the store’s loyal customers
“It’s the customers’ patronage that inspired me to open this store,” she said. Having been in the business for several years, she emphasized that expanding to a larger space was a step towards serving her community better.
“This store is unique because there’s enough room to display wholesale goods, making it easier for resellers to buy at profitable rates,” Mrs. Esho explained. She promised quality products at affordable prices, aiming to support small businesses and local families. She added, “I believe this store will put food on many tables as people resell and earn from it. My prayer is to grow worldwide”

The event wrapped up with prayers, appreciation to all attendees, and a formal opening by Pastor Okelola.
