The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ibadan Zone, has threatened to embark on an indefinite strike over the failure of the Oyo and Kwara State Governments to implement the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement.
The union said lecturers are yet to receive agreed allowances and welfare packages despite months of waiting. It demanded that salaries from July 2026 reflect all approved benefits and that outstanding arrears from January be paid immediately.
ASUU warned that continued delays could disrupt academic activities across affected universities, impacting thousands of students.
