Former Big Brother Naija star and media personality, Anto Lecky, has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, with a focus on Tourism and the Creative Economy.
Though widely known for her time on Big Brother Naija, Anto is far more than a reality TV star. She’s a seasoned professional with a solid track record in operations, media, arts, and advocacy. Before rising to fame, she served as Head of Operations for Nigeria’s first private basketball league and a top athleisure brand.
Her new role comes at a crucial time for Edo State, with the return of the Benin Bronzes, new museums in development, and a thriving creative scene. Anto’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to drive tourism growth, cultural promotion, and economic opportunities.
Since BBN, Anto has worked on various initiatives spanning arts, culture, tourism, and diaspora affairs. She hosted DStv’s “Sights of Flavours”, collaborated with global tourism brands, and previously led programme operations at Kunle Afolayan’s Film Academy.
She also holds a federal role as Special Assistant on Digital and New Media to the Minister of Steel Development, further proving her dynamic range in public service and creative leadership.
