The Anambra State Ministry of Health has begun free blood pressure screening across state hospitals and primary healthcare centres to mark World Hypertension Day.
Health Commissioner Afam Obidike warned that untreated hypertension remains a major cause of stroke and kidney disease and encouraged residents to check their blood pressure regularly.
The initiative supports Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s “Solution Know Your Number” campaign.
