Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has named Cristiano Ronaldo as his toughest opponent. The Nottingham Forest full-back shared this during an interview with Hayters TV. He appeared alongside teammates Nikola Milenkovic and Dan Ndoye. When asked about his most challenging opponent, Aina paused thoughtfully.
He admitted the decision required serious reflection. However, he ultimately chose Cristiano Ronaldo as his answer. According to Aina, Ronaldo stands above others he has faced. Aina encountered Ronaldo in December 2018 during a Serie A clash. At the time, he played for Torino FC against Juventus FC.
Ronaldo was then starring for the Italian giants. The match left a lasting impression on the Nigerian defender. Reflecting further, Aina also praised Eden Hazard as his best teammate. He described the former Chelsea forward as exceptional. Aina progressed through the academy at Chelsea FC. He was part of the squad that won the 2016/2017 Premier League title.
Despite sharing a dressing room with Hazard, Aina joked about missing contacts. He humorously admitted he never collected Hazard’s phone number. Aina made his senior Chelsea debut in August 2016.
