Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd (NBC), a leading consumer-packaged goods company and part of the Coca-Cola HBC group. Has strengthened its commitment to women’s empowerment by awarding N2 million in grants to two exceptional female entrepreneurs.
The presentation took place during the annual Women in Management, Business, and Public Service (WIMBIZ) Conference in Lagos, themed Own. Walk. Nurture. The beneficiaries, Toyibah Shehu Mohammed of FarhM’s Food and Sauce Global Limited and Helen Gabriel of Ogy’s Cakes, each received N1 million after emerging winners from the WIMBIZ Entrepreneurship Masterclass. Their creativity, resilience, and drive to create economic impact earned them the recognition.
While presenting the grants, NBC’s People & Culture Director, Jolomi Fawehinmi, reaffirmed the company’s belief in the power of women-led enterprises to transform societies. She emphasized that when women thrive in business, entire communities benefit. Fawehinmi commended all participants of the Masterclass for their dedication to innovation, growth, and excellence.NBC’s collaboration with WIMBIZ reflects its long-standing commitment to fostering inclusion and leadership among women in business.

During a panel session titled Leading from the Inside Out: Balancing Ambition, Vulnerability & Purpose. NBC’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Oluwasoromidayo George, encouraged women to embrace authenticity and emotional intelligence as vital leadership strengths.
Drawing from her experience, she highlighted the importance of leading with purpose, self-awareness, and integrity. George also emphasized that vulnerability fosters connection and trust in the workplace. “Be confident, stay authentic, and align your values wherever you find yourself,” she advised. “Show up fully, because your presence and purpose make a difference.”
