Galatasaray are preparing a renewed move for Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika as they look to strengthen their squad in the upcoming January transfer window. According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, the Super Lig leaders plan to reopen negotiations with Club Brugge for the 24-year-old, who was among their top summer targets.
The Istanbul giants are expected to propose a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option, hoping to finally secure Onyedika’s signature. Reports suggest the Nigerian international, who has already given a positive response to the transfer, remains keen on the move to Turkey.
Head coach Okan Buruk is eager to reinforce his midfield options as Galatasaray aim to maintain their domestic dominance while advancing in the Champions League. The club views Raphael Onyedika as a long-term solution capable of bringing balance, physicality, and tactical intelligence to their midfield setup.
Onyedika, who stands at 1.84 meters, joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022.
