Harry Kane has revealed he is open to extending his stay at Bayern Munich, admitting his desire to return to the Premier League has cooled. The England captain, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, has been in outstanding form for the German champions this season.
Kane has already scored 18 goals in 10 matches, playing a crucial role in Bayern’s Bundesliga title defence. The 32-year-old striker, who has netted 103 goals in 106 appearances for the club, is currently under contract until 2027. However, he hinted at a willingness to sign a new deal, saying he is “fully all in” and focused on Bayern’s success.
“In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that,” Kane said while on international duty with England ahead of a friendly against Wales and a World Cup qualifier in Latvia. He explained that formal talks over an extension have not yet started but emphasized his openness to discussions when the time comes.
Reflecting on his future, Kane noted that his initial plan to return to the Premier League has changed. “If you had asked me when I first left Tottenham, I would have said for sure I would come back. But now, after a couple of years at Bayern, that desire has gone down a little,” he admitted.
Kane, who needs 48 more goals to surpass Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260, remains focused on achieving more success in Germany. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently praised Kane, saying the club is “probably witnessing the best version of Harry Kane there has ever been.”
After lifting his first major trophy with Bayern last season, Kane’s hunger for more silverware appears stronger than ever.
