Christiana Okenla takes position as seventh president and third female leader of Rotary Club of Lekki Golden, District 9112. Her investiture ceremony, held in Lagos, gathered more than 250 Rotarians, dignitaries, and guests under the inspiring theme “One World. One Community.”
President Okenla officially assumed office in alignment with Rotary International’s 2025–2026 global theme, “Unite for Good.” Distinguished attendees included Past District Governors Asiwaju Dr. Michael Olawale-Cole, Omotunde Lawson, and Past Assistant Governor Kayode Aderinokun.
One of the ceremony’s highlights was the induction of 25 new members. The club’s largest membership expansion in recent years. District Governor Lanre Adedoyin praised Okenla for beginning her tenure with strength. Noting that Rotary thrives on friendship, which is then deepened by service to humanity.
Looking ahead, Christiana Okenla unveiled a bold agenda centered on Rotary’s seven areas. They are focus, emphasizing health, education, and economic empowerment. Planned initiatives include the Pack-to-School project for underserved students. Also sponsorship of young leaders at the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, and expansion of health programs like Safe Start and Dress-a-Dream.
A seasoned professional, Okenla currently serves as Director of Customer Success for West Africa at Equinix (MainOne). She brings over 22 years of experience in banking, telecommunications, and IT.
